About Marsden Grace Interiors

Elegant, unique, practical and comfortable are just some of the words that guide me when I’m designing interiors. I hope to offer a bespoke service where your requirements are all met and your experience is as stress free and enjoyable as possible! I have over 10 years experience working as an upholster, but for the past few years I have focused the business on interior and upholstery design. I have been supporting this transition by taking specialist interior design courses at KLC School of Design. I use my extensive experience of working with furniture, fabrics and materials in all my projects. I love seeing a newly designed bespoke piece of furniture come to life, along with an old antique piece of furniture being brought back to life to take its' rightful place centre stage!

Some of my influences have come from my previous profession as drama practitioner and a lecturer in Applied Arts. I studied Drama and Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths College, learning about philosophy, art movements and art history. Looking at costume, set design and props was a particular fascination. I must have subconsciously been preparing for a future career in design as my final dissertation was on Japanese architecture and how the way we live and experience a space has a direct impact on how we feel.

Throughout the website I refer to the business as a ‘we, our and us’, this is because I often work with other makers and trades, but otherwise I’m very much the leading lady!
